Endlich sind die ersten beiden DISCHARGE Alben, sowie die ‘Why’ EP in vernünftigen CD-Versionen erhältlich. Das erste Mini-Album ‚Why’, im Original 1980 erschienen, zeigt eine rauhe, hasserfüllte Punkband. Zusätzlich enthält die CD als Bonus die 12 Songs der (noch vorher erschienenen) ersten drei Singles. ‚Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing’ ist sicherlich einer der fünf größten Klassiker der Punkgeschichte. Nebenbei erfanden DISCHARGE mit dieser Götterscheibe den Crust und beeinflußten, das ist wohl kaum übertrieben, tausende von Bands dazu, etwas heftiger als die Norm zu Werke zu gehen. Dieser wütende Brocken erschien 1982 – kaum zu glauben, daß das schon wieder 21 Jahre her sein soll. Die CD enthält neun Bonustracks von vier verschiedenen Singles. ‚Never Again’ ist eine Art Best-Of mit Remixen, Singletracks und ähnlichem Schnickschnack. Trotzdem empfehlenswert, weil die Versionen ziemlich cool sind und es weitere vier Bonustracks von der ‚Ignorance/No Compromise’ EP enthält. Hier war schon deutlich zu erkennen, daß DISCHARGE, bedingt durch einschneidende Line-Up Wechsel, fortan metallischer klingen würden – wodurch sich die Band letztendlich ihr eigenes Grab schaufelte… Alle drei CD´s erscheinen in wertigen Pappschubern, mit Texten und Liner Notes.
